We are seeking to appoint a confident and experienced IT technician to become part of our hardware and network support team. The role will include supporting the IT, network and infrastructure across the four schools of Chulmleigh Academy Trust, assisting in the management of the Academy’s network, installing, configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting IT related faults and queries, and installing applications and systems software in order to maintain IT services across the Trust.

Candidates should demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Be sensitive to the different levels of expertise in the school.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in software and hardware.
  • Be reactive to non-routine problems.

The Trust’s hardware and network support team provides a comprehensive and effective IT support service to ensure the smooth and efficient running of systems across the Trust and provides a high quality, customer focused service to users including staff, pupils, parents, and external parties. The role will involve travel to our primary school sites and a full driving licence will be required.

This is a permanent part time post for 20 hours per week. We are keen to appoint the very best candidate and have some flexibility with the working pattern. Please indicate on your application form your preferred work pattern to allow informed discussion at interview. The role is term time only (39 weeks per year).
